Words from the Principal
Shibaura Institute of Technology consists of the Faculty of Engineering in Tamachi and Saitama, the Faculty of Systems Engineering in Saitama, two graduate schools and two junior and senior high schools. One is in Itabashi and the other is here in Kashiwa. The campus in Tamachi will move to Toyosu, three kilometers from Tokyo station. Shibaura Institute of Technology Kashiwa Junior and Senior High School is located in a rural area, surrounded by a lot of greenery. Masuo Joshi Park which is the remains of a ruined castle is just in front of our school. It takes about 15 minutes from Kashiwa station by school bus or 5 minutes from Shinkashiwa station. The Junior High has 160 students and the Senior High has 276 in each class . Our students are enjoying their school life studying enthusiastically and joining extra-curriculum activities.
Every student can and actually realize their hope for their future with the
help of enthusiastic and resourceful teachers, high quality classes, academic
and career counseling and educational guidance. About 70 students go to Shibaura
Institute of Technology through the recommendation system and other students go
to other prestigious universities. Everything going on at this school is based
on the frontier spirit of "Creativity and Personality". |

We will celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the foundation of Shibaura Institute
of Technology in 2007. Kashiwa Senior High School was founded in 1980 and the
Junior High School in 1999. The auditorium was built in 2001, which being used
for multi-purposes: lessons, lectures, music events and so on. |

Think Quest @ Japan is a homepage contest known to and joined from all over Japan. Most students are supposed to join the contest, making groups of two or three to build homepages which can be used for educational purposes. Every year many of them get prizes for their high level work.
